Superfood Collection Growing

Featured here is coconut oil, bee pollen (which tastes incredible and amazing and its production doesn’t harm bees!), psyllium husk (which is great to make sure your digestive system is in tip top shape and awesome to use in gluten free baking), raw cacao powder (great smoothie addition especially with bananas and peanut butter), wheatgrass powder (new addition, will let you know how much I love it after I use it more) and my go to protein after a tough yoga class, chia seeds, which is awesome for puddings and thickeners in baking, egg replacements in baking, or smoothies.

Mango Green Smoothie

Will keep you full for hours, and is a great recovery smoothie because it has potassium from the banana. Feel free to add some greek yogurt for more protein or if you are not worried about keeping it vegan!

Ingredients

1 cup frozen mango chunks

1 banana, sliced

2 cups baby spinach leaves or 1 cup frozen

1/2 cup chia gel (chia seeds soaked in water or coconut water for a couple hours in a glass jar, lasts for a week and adds awesome protein to your smoothies)

1 tsp cinnamon

Directions

Blend and love!

Apple Pie Chia Pudding

Sweet, creamy delicious breakfast? Sign me up.

2 tablespoons chia seeds

1 cup unsweetened almond milk

1 teaspoon raw organic honey

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon nutmeg

1 apple, pealed, cored and chipped finely

Directions

Mix all ingredients well in a mason jar and let sit overnight!

Green Heaven Smoothie

Buttery without the butter. Happy spring!

The fastest, most delicious of breakfasts.

Ingredients

1/2 avocado

Agave, to taste, but let’s not go crazy right?

1 cup spinach

Cinnamon, to taste

1 cup unsweetened almond milk

1 teaspoon chia seeds

Directions

Blend and love.

Kale Chia Seed Smoothie

I love kale. I love baking it, putting it into my smoothies and my soups, and I love how versatile of a green it is. It is not as loved by me as my spinach smoothies because I dont usually add it with fruit, but I think of it as spinach’s savory cousin.

This one will have you loving your life.

1 bunch kale

1 cup almond milk

1/2 cup orange juice

2 tablespoons chia seeds

Mint leaves, to taste

A dash or orange blossom honey

Directions

Blend and love.
